Technical Sales Engineer (Process Cooling)

Established nearly 30 years ago, my client is a specialist supplier of Water Chillers and cooling equipment for chilled water process and air conditioning applications. Their equipment is used throughout industry and commerce on a diverse range of processes and applications.They have supplied equipment to most sectors including plastics, food, beverages, chemical, pharmaceutical, automotive, aerospace, & commercial buildings. They offer a complete range of services covering not just sales but also service, hire and turnkey installations.
The role entails: -
Selling into the Industrial sector- capital equipment, mainly water chillers but also cooling towers, air blast coolers, pumps, heat exchangers and turnkey installation projects direct to the manufacturer. With typical order values from £3,000 to £50,000 but can be as high £250,000. This is very much a solution sell.
A mixture of mainly new business development whilst maintaining existing clients.
You will be expected to spend 4 days a week visiting clients and working from home for the other day.
Experience: -
UK business to business field sales in capital/ process equipment to similar sectors. Although if you are currently new to sales or in an internal sales role and can demonstrate you have what it takes to succeed in a field sales role you may also be considered.
In order to succeed you need to have a Mechanical Engineering qualification or to have gained sufficient knowledge through your career to date.
