Welding Engineer - up to £30k + benefits - North West UK (Permanent)
Do you possess extensive experience of Welding Engineering in an Aerospace environment? Are you looking for a new position to re-ignite your career?
We are presently working with a well-known company, who are part of a major UK PLC, and an established leader in their field within the Aerospace market. Due to expanding business, our client is recruiting for a Welding Engineer, to work with a range of Aerospace materials, on a permanent basis to join their North-West UK located site.
Reporting to the Lean Coordinator, the Welding Engineer will lead a small team to support and improve current welding processes and develop procedures for new products. The role requires a good team player who is able to interact with shop floor operators and supervision as well as liaising with the quality, sales, engineering and R&D functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all work activities and records comply with company policies, procedures, standards, regulations and codes of practice including NADCAP.
Applicants should be educated to HND/degree level in an engineering discipline and ideally be a member of a professional institute. You must be able to demonstrate technical welding competence, in both fusion and resistance welding, including familiarity with reactive metals and experience of thin gauge materials, including titanium, stainless steel and nickel alloys, together with supporting metallurgical ability.
Knowledge of the Aerospace sector would be a distinct advantage, as would familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts.
This is an ideal role for someone with solid experience of welding engineering with experience of working within the Aerospace industry.
The remuneration package for this role includes an annual salary of up to £30k and company pension scheme. You will work a 37.5 hour week, including an early finish on a Friday, and will also receive 24 days holiday + stats.
