Our client is a well-reputed and highly-established player within its field in the Aerospace market. They are presently recruiting for a Production Manager to join their Nottinghamshire-located site on a permanent basis to add real value to their Production facility.
The Production Manager will take control of all manufacturing activity, including machining, assembly, PFD and benchwork, and will ensure that production output is achieved to meet customer delivery schedules, monthly and annual budgetary targets and maintenance of total customer satisfaction. You will monitor and control production costs and control stock in the working area minimising scrap and WIP stock to the lowest possible levels, too.
As an experienced Manager with a track record of managing a Production team, you will be heavily involved with recruitment, deployment and discipline of production personnel and will be responsible for setting and reviewing performance targets. You will actively motivate the manufacturing team on a group and individual level and will liaise with all engineering functions to develop smooth services to all our client's customers.
The right candidate will thrive on improving production processes and company performance and will have the ability and experience to improve service levels by streamlining the workflows and concentrating on added value activities.
This is a diverse role that encompasses a range of key areas of responsibility. To succeed in this challenging role, you will be a motivated individual with excellent leadership skills and proven management experience in a pressured environment. Our client utilises a variety of CNC machines, so candidates are expected to have an all-round appreciate and experience of a variety of CNC's and manual machining as well as knowledge of other technical disciplines and techniques, such as sheet metalwork, fitting and assembly, welding and metal treatments, too.
Candidates will ideally be qualified to a minimum of HNC level in an Engineering discipline and will also possess solid experience of production management in an industrial environment. Substantial experience and knowledge of engineering production methods is essential. Candidates will ideally possess experience of working within the Aerospace market.
