Quality Engineer - £Flexible- Leicestershire (Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months)

Our client, an established Aerospace and Gas Turbines Manufacturing business located in Leicestershire, is presently recruiting for a Quality Engineer on a 12 month fixed-term basis.
Reporting to the Quality Engineering Team Leader, the Quality Engineer will work within our client\'s busy Quality Engineering department, undertaking specific tasks relevant to the control of the department\'s Quality Systems and Continuous Improvement process within the facility.
Using your organised and supportive character, the Quality Engineer will provide operations support and will be responsible for controlling and compiling FAIR\'s. You will liaise with customers, which will include performance scorecard management, be heavily involved in Quality improvement initiatives and Trend Analysis and will ensure ongoing conformance to Customer Specification. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for Corrective Action Reporting (both internally and with the customer), have involvement in Continuous Improvement and Cost Reduction activities.
Applicants will possess a solid background of working in a pressured Quality environment and will have the ability to provide project support through supporting the NPI process. You will also have experience of FMEA and DFM activities, have the ability to review and improve internal Quality Procedures and have confident experience of Key Performance Measures (which will include customer scorecards, scrap levels and zero major non-conformances on internal and external audits)
All applicants will be essentially qualified to HNC in Engineering or above and will ideally hold a recognised Quality certificate (i.e. Six Sigma or IQA). Candidates who fulfill the above criteria who possess experience of Industrial Gas Turbines are encouraged to apply. You will be confident to work under your own initiative as well as being heavily involved in team activities. You will possess excellent interpersonal skills and will have the ability to communicate at all levels.
This is a 12 month fixed-term contract that would require the right candidate to work through our client\'s books on a salaried basis. Please note that there is not the option to work on an hourly rate basis or through an Umbrella company or your own Ltd Company.
